RVH needs your help! The hospital is planning another expansion in the coming years and the first step is public consultation about a number of issues, including the preferred location.
The Site Selection Committee has narrowed its search area to an area west of Lake Simcoe; east of Highway 400; south of Kempenfelt Bay
You can share your feedback about the proposed area by taking an online survey on the hospital’s website. Results of the survey will be posted on the website and further feedback and input can be provided at community open house sessions.

And finally, if you own a an AirBNB you might soon be looking at more government regulation. A new Angus Reid poll found that 65 % of Canadians surveyed in cities with high rental rates such as Barrie, Toronto and Vancouver were most in favour of supporting limits on short term rentals and having AirBNB regulateed on the same way hotels are.
The findings come after Toronto passed laws last year aimed at limiting the proportion of houses being used for short-term rentals, because of the strain it was putting on local housing markets.
